INDIANAPOLIS — Aug. 14, 2025 — Sarson Funds, a digital asset investment firm focused on early stage crypto projects and Decentralized AI, today announced the appointment of Whitney Kalmbach as Chief Operations Officer. In this role, she will oversee the firm’s operational strategy and execution as it continues expanding its digital asset investment offerings.

Kalmbach brings a rare blend of public and private sector experience. A former U.S. Naval Intelligence officer, she served on the staffs of senior Navy admirals, leading cross-functional teams in high-stakes intelligence analysis, strategic operations, and crisis response. Her transition to the private sector included leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase, Raytheon, and Deloitte, where she focused on financial operations, risk management, and strategic consulting.
She later co-founded Key Bridge Advisors, a boutique technology consultancy founded with Jason Brett, a former FDIC regulator and recognized voice in cryptocurrency policy, where she advised high-growth technology companies on strategic expansion and business development. She also serves as CEO of the Value Technology Foundation, a nonprofit think tank focused on blockchain, AI, and other emerging technologies that has partnered with the U.S. Department of State and leading public and private-sector organizations to deliver training and education worldwide.
A prolific builder and operational leader, Kalmbach excels at aligning strategic vision with disciplined execution. These capabilities will be central to her work in leading and enhancing operational capacity at Sarson Funds as the firm advances its investments in early stage crypto projects and Decentralized AI. She holds an Executive MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity Policy Management from University of Maryland Global Campus.
